Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar Visits Puri Srimandir, To Address BLOs in Bhubaneswar

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of India, Gyanesh Kumar, paid a spiritual visit to the revered Jagannath Temple in Puri on December 27, 2025, accompanied by his family.

Entering under tight security, he was welcomed by Temple Chief Administrator Aravind Padhee, as devotees witnessed his darshan of the deities.

The visit marks the beginning of a three‑day Odisha tour blending devotion with official duties.

On December 28, the CEC will explore Odisha’s cultural heritage, including Raghurajpur heritage village, Dhauli Shanti Stupa, Khandagiri and Udayagiri caves, and the historic Mukteswar Temple in Bhubaneswar.

The highlight of his administrative engagements will be on December 29, when Shri Kumar addresses booth‑level officers (BLOs) at the OUAT auditorium in Bhubaneswar.

The session, scheduled for 3:00 pm, will focus on election preparedness, BLO responsibilities, and strengthening grassroots electoral processes.

Later that evening, the CEC will conclude his Odisha tour and depart from Bhubaneswar, wrapping up a visit that combined cultural immersion with electoral strategy.
