Bhubaneswar, August 4(OT Webdesk): Odisha Vigilance has arrested Golap Chandra Hansdah, the Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) of Boudh district, for amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The arrest follows extensive raids that uncovered a staggering portfolio of wealth.

Officials seized:

  • 44 plots across various locations
  • 1 kg of gold, including two 50g gold biscuits
  • Over 2 kg of silver
  • Rs 2.38 lakh in cash
  • Bank and investment deposits exceeding Rs 1.34 crore
