Boudh Bus-Truck Collision Injures 10+, Driver on the Run
Boudh, Nov 18– A major road accident occurred on Tuesday near Bhairavi Temple along National Highway 57 in Purunakatak block, leaving more than ten passengers injured. The collision involved a tourist bus named Shiv Shankar and a truck in a head-on crash.
Local residents and authorities rushed the injured to Purunakatak Hospital, where doctors confirmed several victims sustained serious injuries but remain under medical care.
Eyewitnesses reported that the truck driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, abandoning the vehicle. Police have launched a manhunt to trace the absconding driver and are investigating the circumstances that led to the mishap.
The accident caused panic among commuters and disrupted traffic for hours on the busy highway. Authorities assured strict measures will be taken to identify negligence and prevent similar incidents in the future.
