Bomb Blast Near School Rocks Odisha Assembly Winter Session

Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: The second day of the Odisha Assembly’s winter session witnessed heated discussions and crucial developments.

Question Hour covered departments ranging from school and mass education to higher education, industry, SC/ST welfare, sports and youth affairs, vocational training, Odia language and culture, and social security.

During Zero Hour, BJD MLA Pratap Deb raised the issue of a bomb explosion near Kendriya Vidyalaya‑3.

Speaker Surama Padhy directed officials to collect details and present them in the House, underscoring the seriousness of the incident.

Later in the day, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to present a supplementary budget of approximately Rs 10,000 crore for the 2025-26 financial year—the first of this fiscal.
