BJP Fields 40 Star Campaigners for Nuapada Bypoll | Mohan Majhi, Vishnu Deo Sai Lead Charge

Nuapada, October 16, 2025 — The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched an aggressive campaign for the upcoming Nuapada by-election, unveiling a formidable lineup of 40 star campaigners to energise its voter base and consolidate its presence in western Odisha.

Leading the charge are Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, signaling a high-stakes push that transcends state borders. Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram, and Ashwini Vaishnaw are also on the ground, amplifying the BJP’s message and rallying support.

BJP Odisha President Manmohan Samal joins the campaign trail, backed by National Vice President Baijayant Panda and two state prabharis tasked with sharpening grassroots coordination. Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Ministers K.V. Singh Deo and Pravati Parida add regional heft to the party’s cross-border strategy.

Senior leaders, including Suresh Pujari, Pratap Sarangi, Jaynarayan Mishra, and Basanta Panda are actively engaging with local voters, leveraging their mass appeal and political experience.

This high-voltage campaign comes on the heels of Lambodar Nial’s defection from BJD to BJP, a move that has jolted the ruling party and added momentum to BJP’s electoral push.

With this dynamic ensemble, BJP aims to orchestrate a well-coordinated, high-impact campaign that could reshape the political landscape in Nuapada.
