BJD’s Kartik Pandian takes aim at opposition, outlines Naveen’s priorities

Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), May 25: Senior Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Leader Kartik Pandian rallied support for BJD candidates in Sukinda and Jajpur Assembly constituencies within the Jajpur Lok Sabha segment on Saturday.

Addressing a large public gathering, Pandian criticized the opposition for disseminating falsehoods and misleading the populace. “During elections, opposition leaders come, speak sweet words, fabricate lies, and shed crocodile tears,” he remarked, cautioning the audience to remain vigilant.

He expressed confidence in Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s ability to fortify Odisha with the people’s support. “With your blessings, our beloved Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will lead Odisha towards progress,” Pandian affirmed.

Highlighting Patnaik’s agenda, Pandian outlined the Chief Minister’s priorities upon reelection. “Upon taking oath on June 9, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s first decree will be the waiver of electricity bills for 90% of households in the state,” Pandian declared. “Additionally, he will ensure the inclusion of all citizens under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) and extend pension benefits to Mission Shakti members above 60 years of age,” he added.

Turning his attention to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Pandian criticized their promise of free electricity, highlighting the costs incurred by citizens for solar panel installation. “The BJP is offering lanterns in broad daylight,” he quipped.
