BJD Leadership Appointments 2025: Snehangini Chhuria Retains BMJD Post, District Chiefs Named
In a decisive move to strengthen its organizational framework, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President Naveen Patnaik has announced a series of key appointments aimed at reinforcing grassroots leadership and promoting gender inclusivity.
Snehangini Chhuria has been reappointed as President of the Biju Mahila Janata Dal (BMJD), signaling continued trust in her leadership.
To further empower the women’s wing, Sumitra Jena, Rajashree Mallick, and Lekhasri Samantsinghar have been named Senior General Secretaries (Women Affairs).
Fifteen additional General Secretaries (Women Affairs) were appointed, including prominent figures such as Sulochana Das, Sulata Deo, Barsha Singh Bariha, and others.
At the district level, BJD has made strategic changes:
- Dhenkanal: Nrusingha Charan Sahu (District President), Sandip Sarangi (Working President)
- Koraput: Jhina Hikaka (District President), Durga Mishra and Prasad Bidika (Working Presidents)
- Rayagada: Jagannath Saraka (District President), Gayadhar Pualo and Ranjit Panigrahi (Working Presidents)
These appointments reflect BJD’s commitment to inclusive leadership and regional representation, as the party gears up for future electoral challenges.
