BJD demands immediate Justice for Pipili gang rape victim

Bhubaneswar, May 14 (UNI) The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has demanded immediate and appropriate justice for the victim in the Pipili minor gang rape case.

On Wednesday, a BJD delegation led by former Minister Tukuni Sahu met with the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Puri district, urging stringent action against all those involved in the crime.

Earlier, the delegation visited the victim’s family and assured them of the BJD’s unwavering support in their pursuit of justice. The party reiterated its commitment to standing in solidarity with victims and raising its voice to ensure justice is delivered.

As part of their efforts, a BJD fact-finding team first met the family of the victim to express their sympathies and gather details about the case. Following this, the team submitted a memorandum to the Puri SP, demanding prompt action and justice.

The memorandum also highlighted the alleged involvement of a street vendor in the case and called for the establishment of a registration and database system for street vendors, along with enhanced police patrolling to ensure public safety.
