BIS & State Govt Join Hands to Build a Robust Quality Ecosystem

Bhubaneswar, May 15 (OT Webdesk): Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) with Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department, Govt. of Odisha organized 2nd State Level Meeting on Standardization to facilitate co-operation between Bureau of Indian Standards and State Govt, in the area of Standardization and Quality of Product and services.

The meeting was chaired by Shri Manoj Ahuja, IAS, Chief Secretary Govt of Odisha on dt.14.05.2025, Wednesday . The Chief Secretary emphasized awareness about standards among the common public as well as Govt officials.

The meeting was also attended by Shri Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary to Govt., Industries, MSME Department and Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Works, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare, Information and Public Relations Department, Odisha including senior officers from BIS, FS&CW Deptt, other State Govt Departments, Odisha and Industry Associations.

The agenda was about implementation of Indian Standards and to create a robust quality ecosystem in the State.
