Bhubaneswar,(Orissa Today) Mar 2 : In a remarkable celebration of World Rotary Day, the Rotary International District 3262 has set a new record by creating the largest sand art in the form of an eye. This awe-inspiring artwork, crafted on the golden sands of Kuakhai River near the State Capital Bhubaneswar aims to raise awareness about the importance of organ donation, particularly eye donation.
The sand art, which spans an impressive dimensions of 195 feet length, 65 feet width and 32 feet in height was meticulously designed and executed by renowned sand artist Subal Maharana. The eye symbolizes vision and hope, reflecting the Rotary’s commitment to promoting eye donation and restoring sight to those in need. Briefing the media District Governor Rtn Yagyansis Mohapatra revealed that the 3 days long event marks the 120th anniversary of Rotary International and
highlights the organization’s dedication to humanitarian causes The event was further marked by cutting of a jumbo Cake of 20 feet length and 6 feet width and distributed among the Rotarians and the School children.
