Bhubaneswar: Woman Assaulted During Guest House Loot in Khandagiri

A late-night robbery at a guest house in Bhubaneswar’s Khandagiri area left staff and guests traumatised after a group of miscreants stormed the premises, looted cash, and assaulted multiple individuals.

According to reports, four to five armed men barged into the guest house, attacked the staff, and fled with money from the counter. One staff member sustained serious injuries during the assault.

A young woman staying at the guest house was also attacked, raising grave concerns about the safety of women in such establishments.

Police from Khandagiri station rushed to the spot, registered a case, and launched multiple operations to track down the culprits. CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts are being examined to identify the attackers.

The incident has sparked fear among local residents and guests, with many demanding stricter security measures in hotels and guest houses across the city.

Authorities have assured strong action and promised swift arrests to restore public confidence.
