Bhubaneswar Traffic Police Empowers 300 Students with Road Safety Awareness

In a proactive move to foster safer streets and responsible road behaviour, the Commissionerate Police Bhubaneswar organised a Traffic Awareness Program for 300 school students.

The initiative aimed to instil lifelong habits of safe road use by educating young citizens on key safety practices.

Held as part of the department’s broader accident-reduction campaign, the program featured interactive sessions and live demonstrations focused on pedestrian safety, helmet use, and traffic signal compliance.

Officers engaged students in hands-on learning, encouraging questions and participation to make the experience memorable and impactful.

By targeting schoolchildren, the police hope to build a generation of informed road users who prioritise safety and discipline. The initiative also reflects a strategic shift toward community engagement and education as tools for enforcement.

Commissionerate Police Bhubaneswar plans to expand the program to more schools across the region, positioning the campaign as a model for combining awareness with action.
