Bhubaneswar to Host Krushi Odisha 2026: Farmers’ Empowerment Through Innovation

Bhubaneswar is set to host Krushi Odisha 2026, a flagship agricultural event organised by the Government of Odisha and the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment.

Scheduled from January 22 to 24, 2026, at the Biju Patnaik Sports Ground, Baramunda, the three-day conclave will bring together farmers, scientists, researchers, and policymakers under the theme “Building Resilience through Inclusive Agriculture.”

The event aims to empower farmers by showcasing modern agricultural practices, machinery, and technologies designed to enhance productivity and sustainability.

Agri-education camps will be held to train farmers in advanced techniques, while live demonstrations of cutting-edge tools will highlight innovations shaping the future of farming.

A high-level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan has already set the stage for preparations. Senior officials, including Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment), Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Farmers’ Empowerment & Energy, and Kalunge Gorakh Waman, Director of Horticulture, are overseeing arrangements to ensure the event’s success.

Krushi Odisha has consistently served as a platform for knowledge-sharing and collaboration, reinforcing Odisha’s commitment to inclusive and resilient agriculture.
