Bhubaneswar–Junagarh Road Express Gets LHB Makeover for Safer, Smoother Travel
(OT Webdesk)Indian Railways has rolled out a major upgrade for the 20837/20838 Bhubaneswar–Junagarh Road Super Fast Express, replacing its conventional ICF coaches with modern Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches.
The revamped train promises enhanced safety, comfort, and operational efficiency for passengers travelling across Odisha and into Andhra Pradesh.
The first LHB rake will depart Bhubaneswar on August 8, 2025, followed by its Junagarh Road counterpart on August 9.
The new coach composition includes AC 2nd and 3rd Class, Sleeper, Second Class Seating, and Divyangjan-friendly coaches—designed to deliver a smoother and more secure journey.
LHB coaches are equipped with anti-collision technology and superior suspension systems, reflecting Indian Railways’ commitment to modernisation and passenger-centric service.
This upgrade not only improves travel experience but also strengthens regional connectivity, fostering economic and social integration between Odisha’s coastal and tribal belts.
