Bhubaneswar Cracks Down on DJs, Firecrackers & Laser Lights During Durga Puja Immersions
In a decisive move to restore cultural sanctity and curb environmental hazards, Bhubaneswar Police have banned DJs, firecrackers, and laser lights during Durga Puja idol immersion processions.
The announcement was made during a high-level preparatory meeting at Police Seva Bhawan, attended by senior officials and puja committee representatives.
Only traditional instruments will be permitted during the processions, with authorities emphasizing the need to reduce noise pollution and ensure public safety.
Police Commissioner S. Dev Datta Singh, Additional Commissioner Narasingha Bhol, DCP Jagmohan Meena, and Bhubaneswar Ekamra MLA Babu Singh were present at the meeting.
