Bhubaneswar Accident: Three Killed After Sand‑Laden Truck Hits Motorcycle

A tragic road accident occurred late Friday night near Anantapur under the Pahala police station limits in Bhubaneswar.

A sand‑laden Hyva truck rammed into a motorcycle carrying three riders, killing them instantly.

According to eyewitnesses, the collision happened around 12:30 am.

The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the crash. Police reached the spot soon after, recovered the bodies, and sent them to Capital Hospital for post‑mortem.

Investigators are working to identify the victims using the motorcycle’s registration number. Preliminary suspicion suggests the motorcycle may have been stolen.

Authorities are also tracing the truck owner and reviewing CCTV footage to establish responsibility.

The incident has raised concerns about road safety and the dangers of overloading motorcycles, as three individuals were travelling on a single two‑wheeler at the time of the accident.
