Bhadrak Transgender Clash Injures 10, Victims Demand Justice

Bhadrak, – December 30, 2025: A violent clash between two transgender groups in Bhadrak left more than ten individuals injured late Monday evening.

The incident unfolded near Charmpa Dagarasahi when one group was returning home and was allegedly attacked by a rival faction wielding deadly weapons.

Victims sustained injuries to their heads, backs, and ears, and immediately sought help from the Town Police Station.

Community members expressed frustration over repeated complaints to authorities that went unanswered.

Earlier, transgender persons had staged a protest at the police station, alleging threats to their lives and demanding stronger protection.

The latest clash has reignited concerns about safety and justice for the transgender community in Odisha.

Police officials have yet to release a formal statement, but the victims are pressing for swift action and accountability.
