Bhadrak Teacher Accused of Misconduct with Class VII Student
Bhadrak, Odisha: A Hindi teacher at a Navodaya school in Basudevpur block has been accused of misbehaving with a Class VII student.
According to the victim’s family, the teacher had previously attempted similar misconduct.
The latest incident reportedly occurred on Friday evening at the school hostel. The girl fled the premises and sought shelter in a nearby village early Saturday morning.
Her family lodged a complaint at the Kasia Samudrik police station, prompting police to detain the teacher for questioning.
The accused has denied the allegations, claiming he is being framed. Police have yet to issue an official statement.
This case comes just days after another teacher in the same block was accused of misconduct with a Class VIII student, sparking protests by parents and students demanding strict action.
The back‑to‑back incidents have raised serious concerns about student safety and accountability in schools across the Bhadrak district.
