Bhadrak prepares for Ram Navami: Paramilitary flag march ensures peaceful festivities

Bhadrak, (Orissa Today) April 15: In preparation for the upcoming Ram Navami festival, paramilitary forces conducted a flag march in Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Monday morning to bolster confidence among locals and prevent any untoward incidents.

Following recent violence during a bike rally on Hanuman Jayanti in Balasore, Bhadrak district police have undertaken extensive measures to ensure a peaceful celebration of Ram Navami in the region.
The district administration convened a meeting with members of the Shri Ram Navami Committee, followed by a flag march conducted by a team comprising Odisha Police, BSF, and CRPF personnel.
Reports indicate the deployment of 37 platoons of police force in Bhadrak city ahead of the Ram Navami festival. This deployment, led by four additional SPs and 20 DSPs, aims to ensure the peaceful conduct of the Ram Navami procession on April 17. Bhadrak SP Varun Gunthapalli stated that additional personnel, including inspectors, SIs, ASIs, constables, and home guards, have been stationed across the district to maintain law and order.

Furthermore, one company each of BSF and CRPF personnel will oversee peacekeeping efforts in Bhadrak city. Drone cameras will monitor the Ram Navami procession, while a special cell monitors social media platforms to detect fake and disruptive posts.
