Barbil Advocates’ Elections: Kar, Tripathi Elected Presidents; Raut, Mohanty as Secretaries

Barbil (Orissa Today) Mar 31:  Following the directives of the Odisha State Bar Council, elections for all advocate associations across the state were successfully conducted on March 29. In this context, the names of office bearers for two prominent advocate associations in Barbil city have been announced.

The Barbil Lawyers’ Association saw all its office bearers elected unopposed. Sujit Kumar Kar was chosen as President, while Chandrasekhar Raut was elected Secretary. Other office bearers include Vice President Subhendu Kumar Giri, Joint Secretary Basant Kumar Mohapatra, Assistant Secretary Ranjit Kumar Barik, Treasurer Brijesh Singh, and Library Secretary Tarun Kumar Sen. The executive members elected are Abdul Latif, Anita Mahant, Silly Das, Kumunda Ranjan Mahant, Parmeshwar Bhukta, Sujata Das and Rasanand Behera.

In the Barbil Bar Association, elections were held for the position of Joint Secretary. The results declared Suryakant Tripathi as President, Balram Mohanty as Vice President, and Pradeep Kumar Mohanty as Secretary. Other elected members include Joint Secretary Ramesh Chandra Karua, Assistant Secretary Harish Chandra Bari, Treasurer Mihir Kumar Namtoar, Library Secretary Laxmi Khuntia, Assistant Library Secretary Labang Lata Lohar and executive members Bishnupriya Sethi, Jagannath Sethi, Kamala Patra, Laxmidhar Lohar, and Prasanna Kumar Parida.
