Balasore Bus Accident: Driver Dead, 14 Pilgrims Critical After NH‑16 Crash
Balasore, Odisha: A tragic accident occurred on NH‑16 near Bahanaga Bazaar in Balasore district’s Soro area when a pilgrim bus travelling from West Bengal to Andhra Pradesh lost control and crashed.
The driver died instantly, while fourteen passengers sustained critical injuries and were rushed to a nearby medical college and hospital. Several others suffered minor injuries but were safely evacuated.
Preliminary investigations suggest the driver may have dozed off during the long journey, leading to the mishap.
