Asian Shooting Championship 2027 in Delhi: Olympic Quotas Confirmed

India has been officially confirmed as the host of the Asian Shooting Championship (Rifle/Pistol) 2027, set to take place in Delhi.

The prestigious event will serve as a qualifying competition for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, offering eight quota places to Asian shooters.

The Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) conveyed the decision in a letter to National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) President Kalikesh Singh Deo, expressing confidence in India’s ability to deliver a world-class championship.

The NRAI will oversee the event, with dates to be finalised soon.

This announcement underscores India’s growing stature in global shooting sports and its proven capability to organise international events at the highest standards.

The ASC congratulated the NRAI, noting that the championship will be a “great success” under its leadership.
