Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi Begins Three-Day Odisha Visit Covering Bhubaneswar, Puri & Gopalpur
Bhubaneswar: Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi arrived in Bhubaneswar on March 27, 2026, commencing a three-day tour of Odisha.
He stayed overnight at the 120 Battalion before heading to Puri on March 28, where he offered prayers at the Jagannath Temple and stayed at Sainik Sadan.
Later in the day, General Dwivedi travelled to Gopalpur to attend programs at the Army Air Defence College.
His itinerary includes reviewing training facilities, inspecting modern equipment, and interacting with serving officers and veterans.
He will also witness a live firing demonstration at the field firing range and an exhibition showcasing advanced defence systems.
The visit, spanning Bhubaneswar, Puri, and Gopalpur, concludes on March 29, highlighting both cultural reverence and operational preparedness.
