Army Chief Dwivedi Seeks Divine Blessings at Puri Jagannath Temple

Puri (Odisha): Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, accompanied by his wife, offered prayers at the Jagannath Temple in Puri during his three‑day Odisha tour.

The General described the visit as spiritually fulfilling and vowed to make it an annual tradition to seek divine blessings for the strength and success of the Indian Army.

Arriving from the Bhubaneswar military camp early in the morning, General Dwivedi spent nearly an hour at the shrine before heading to Gopalpur to review operations at the Army Air Defence College.

His itinerary includes interactions with serving officers and ex‑servicemen, along with witnessing a live firing demonstration.

The visit underscores the blend of spiritual devotion and professional duty among India’s top defence leadership, while highlighting Odisha’s strategic importance as a hub for military training and infrastructure.

General Dwivedi will return to New Delhi after completing his engagements.
