Anubhav Mohanty to Star in Upcoming Odia Film “Raban,” Shooting Begins October

Bhubaneswar, Sept 6 — After the success of “Kuhudi” and “Charidham,” producer Himadri Tanaya Das is set to launch his next cinematic venture titled “Raban.” Co-produced by Jagruti A. Mahanti, the film will feature Odia superstar Anubhav Mohanty in the lead role. The female lead is yet to be announced.

Directed by Manas Padhiari, “Raban” will begin shooting in October 2025, following the wrap-up of Das’s current project “, Chhaki Shunya.” The screenplay is crafted by Birenjyoti Mahanti, Rishabh Kumar, and Jagruti, while dialogues are penned by Narayan Saal and Rakesh Mishra.

The title “Raban” has long been considered for an Odia film, but this marks its first official production.

Notably, Birenjyoti Mahanti transitions from editing to screenwriting with this project, adding a fresh creative layer to the film’s development.

With a strong production team and Anubhav Mohanty’s star power, “Raban” is poised to make waves in the Odia film industry.
