Amit Shah in Odisha: CISF Raising Day, IFFCO Plant, Forensic Labs & Cyber Crime Stations

Bhubaneswar, March 6: Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Odisha today, where he was warmly received by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Biju Patnaik International Airport.

Shah’s visit included a packed schedule highlighting both industrial development and law enforcement modernisation.

At Cuttack’s Mundali, he attended the 57th Raising Day of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), praising its role in safeguarding critical infrastructure.

Later, in Paradip, Shah inaugurated a sulphuric acid plant of IFFCO and participated in programmes focused on cooperation, dairy growth, youth empowerment, and farmers’ welfare.

In Bhubaneswar, Shah laid the foundation stone for the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) and the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) campus.

He also virtually inaugurated the NFSU transit campus and an exhibition on new criminal laws.

To strengthen cyber security, he unveiled 20 new Cyber Crime and Economic Offence police stations across Odisha.

Security was tightened across Khurda, Cuttack, and Jagatsinghpur districts, with a five‑km radius around the CISF campus declared a “no drone zone” from March 3–6.

Shah’s visit underscores the Union government’s dual focus on industrial growth and modern policing, while also emphasising youth and farmer‑centric initiatives.
