Amar Satpathy & Prabhat Tripathy Dismiss BJP Switch Rumours After Delhi Visit

Bhubaneswar, Dec 14: Senior Odisha politicians Amar Satpathy and Prabhat Tripathy have returned from New Delhi, firmly dismissing speculation about a possible switch to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Speaking to reporters upon arrival, Satpathy clarified that the visit was purely personal and not linked to any political realignment. “There has been no talk about joining the BJP. No decision has been taken about forming or joining any new party. If any decision is made in the future, it will be communicated at the appropriate time,” he said.

Tripathy echoed similar sentiments, stressing that the ongoing chatter was unfounded.

Their statements come amid heightened political speculation in Odisha, where shifts in party allegiance often spark intense debate.

With this clarification, both leaders have sought to put an end to rumours, reaffirming that no immediate political move is on the horizon.
