The ordeal began at around 3 a.m. when Jayanti Mallick, a mother dependent on alms for her livelihood, discovered her child missing. Swift police intervention ensued, with investigators tracing the accused through extensive CCTV footage and local leads. The breakthrough came when authorities tracked the accused to Balasore, where the toddler was found unharmed.
