Darshan Suspended at Puri Jagannath Temple on August 13 for Rahu Rekha Ritual

PURI(OT Webdesk): The Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri will temporarily suspend public darshan on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, to observe the sacred Rahu Rekha ritual.

According to temple authorities, the ceremony will take place on the auspicious Bhadra Krishna Chaturthi tithi.

Following the first Bhog Mandap offering, darshan will be closed from approximately 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

The temple administration has urged devotees to plan their visit accordingly, as entry will resume only after the completion of the ritual.

The Rahu Rekha ritual is a significant spiritual observance in the temple’s calendar, believed to protect the sanctity of the deities and ward off negative energies.

Devotees and pilgrims are advised to respect the temple’s guidelines and cooperate with the administration during this period.
