Odisha IAS Ashish Thakare Apppointed Disability Empowerment Department Director
Bhubaneswar, June 3, (OT Webdesk) – Ashish Thakare, a distinguished IAS officer of the Odisha cadre (2011 batch), has been appointed as the Director in the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in New Delhi.
The appointment, confirmed by the Department of Personnel & Training, is made under the Central Staffing Scheme and will last for a period of five years or until further instructions are issued.
Thakare’s central deputation is a significant step in his administrative career, allowing him to contribute to national-level policy initiatives aimed at empowering marginalized communities. His extensive experience in state-level governance is expected to aid his role at the Centre.
According to official guidelines, he must assume charge within three weeks of the appointment notification. Failure to do so could result in debarment from the Central Staffing Scheme.
