Pakistan Violates Ceasefire: Shelling Reported in Jammu Region

Pakistan Violates Ceasefire

(OT Webdesk): Just hours after India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire, heavy shelling was reported along the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu & Kashmir.

Sources confirmed that the Pakistan Army violated the truce in multiple sectors, prompting India’s Border Security Force (BSF) to respond.

Late Saturday evening, explosions were reported in several locations, including Akhnoor, Rajouri, RS Pura, and Palanwalla sectors. Reports from Baramulla confirmed the use of artillery shelling, escalating tensions in the region. The situation intensified as Indian forces detected drone activity, with one UAV being shot down in Rajouri and another sighted in Samba district.

Following the violations, BSF forces were instructed to retaliate effectively. The Indian military remains on high alert, prepared to counter any further aggression. Defense officials stated that all necessary measures were being taken to prevent escalations.

This development raises concerns about the stability of peace agreements between the two nations. Experts believe that such violations undermine diplomatic efforts and could lead to prolonged instability along the borders.
