Odisha set to release SOPs for Ratna Bhandar reopening

Bhubaneswar,(Orissa Today), July 12: The Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) recommended by the high-level committee led by Justice Biswanath Rath for the reopening of Ratna Bhandar (Treasure trove) will soon be made public.
Speaking to the media, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan informed that the SOPs for opening Ratna Bhandar are currently under scrutiny and expected to be approved by the government by Saturday.
“The recommended SOPs are undergoing thorough examination, including legal considerations. We anticipate clarity within the next day or two,” Harichandan stated.
Regarding the Adap Pahandi mishap, he mentioned that initial government actions were initiated on Thursday, with ongoing investigations underway. Further steps will be taken based on the findings, Harichandan added.
The Ratna Bhandar committee, chaired by Justice Biswanath Rath of the Orissa High Court, has proposed the opening of the treasure trove on July 14, a decision also endorsed by the temple management committee.
In its inaugural meeting on July 9, the 16-member high-level committee formulated the SOPs and recommended the treasury’s reopening on July 14.
