The prestigious 73rd All India Police Hockey Championship began with great enthusiasm at the iconic Kalinga Stadium on April 7, 2025. The opening day featured three thrilling matches showcasing exceptional talent and teamwork.
In the first match, the Border Security Force (BSF) delivered a dominant performance, defeating Telangana Police with an impressive score of 9-2. The second match saw the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) outclassing Uttarakhand Police with a commanding 9-1 victory. Jharkhand Police rounded off the day by securing a 4-1 win against Chhattisgarh Police.
The event was graced by senior officials, including Arun Kumar Ray, Sudhanshu Sarangi, Amitabh Thakur, Dayal Gangwar, Rajesh Kumar, and Anup Kumar Sahu, who extended their encouragement to the players and applauded their efforts.
