338.436 hectares of land identified for ambitious ‘Bhubaneswar New City Project’

Bhubaneswar, Aug 20 (UNI) The Odisha Government has identified around 338.436 hectares for the proposed Bhubaneswar New City Project, Usha Padhee, Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department said here today.

The project envisions a model city that is inclusive, vibrant, and resilient, designed to optimize land value and achieve international branding. Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) would consider JLL, a global real estate services company, to prepare a master plan and recommend the best-suited product mix for the development, she informed.

The concept would be presented to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) under Urban Challenge Fund. Regarding this an MOU was signed between BDA and JLL during the visit of President, Singapore, to Bhubaneswar.

“The Bhubaneswar New City Project is a landmark step for Odisha to shape a world-class urban centre, reflecting inclusivity, sustainability, and resilience for future generations”, Padhee concluded.
Avinas Misra, Chief Executive, Surbana Jurong South Asia, along with Abhisek Malhotra, Regional Director, Surbana Jurong, called on Usha Padhee, Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department on Wednesday.
The meeting focused on urban infrastructure and managed services, with special emphasis on the Bhubaneswar New City Project.
