12 arrested in Barpali College question paper leak case

Bhubaneswar,(Orissa Today) Jan 31: In a major crackdown, police have arrested 12 individuals, including 10 students and a college clerk, in connection with a question paper leak at Barpali College in Odisha’s Bargarh district.
According to sources, the Political Science question paper for the third-semester examination was allegedly photocopied at a local Xerox shop and widely circulated among students before the exam. The leak was detected during a surprise inspection by a special squad, prompting the college principal to file a formal complaint with the police.
The investigation revealed that the question paper originated from Nakatideul in Sambalpur district. Acting swiftly, police apprehended the students involved, along with the owner of a computer shop and a grocery store owner who allegedly facilitated the sale of the leaked paper.
Authorities are now probing how the paper reached the students and whether more individuals are involved in the racket. The incident has raised serious concerns about examination security, and further investigations are underway to identify any additional culprits and prevent such breaches in the future.
