11 EMRS Odisha Students Qualify JEE Mains 2026 | Tribal Education Success
Bhubaneswar, Feb 23: Eleven students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) in Odisha have successfully qualified in the JEE Mains Phase–I, 2026, marking a significant achievement for tribal education in the state.
Leading the group is Avish Alam from EMRS Karanjia, who secured an impressive 97.5 NTA percentile.
EMRS Lahunipara produced the highest number of qualifiers with five students, followed by EMRS Ranki with three, EMRS Karanjia with two, and EMRS Bhangriposi with one.
Notable qualifiers include Rinkirani Naik, Sunil Kumar Naik, and Sunia Hembram from Ranki; Samu Paleya from Karanjia; Estiphan Hembram, Pujarani Kisan, Deepa Kisan, Rabin Oram, and Salkhu Hembram from Lahunipara; and Thakur Murmu from Bhangriposi.
This achievement highlights the growing academic strength of EMRS institutions in Odisha, which are dedicated to empowering tribal students to compete at national levels.
The success is expected to inspire more students from marginalised communities to pursue engineering education in premier institutions across India.
