Bhubaneswar, Odisha – April 19, 2025: The world of journalism mourns the loss of Ratikanta Mohanty, a legendary figure in Odisha’s media fraternity, who passed away at the age of 70 in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. Mohanty had been battling kidney-related ailments for several years.
With a career spanning over four decades, Mohanty earned immense respect for his insightful political reporting and steadfast commitment to ethical journalism. His integrity and impartiality remain benchmarks in the media landscape.
Condolences poured in from across the political spectrum. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy CM Pravati Parida, and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed their deep sorrow over Mohanty’s demise.
