Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), July 13: Public darshan of Lord Jagannath and his siblings at Adapa Mandap in Gundicha Temple, Puri, will cease after 5 pm on Sunday to facilitate preparations for Bahuda Yatra scheduled for Monday.
Officials announced that the Sandhya Darshan, a significant ritual, will take place on Sunday, allowing devotees to view the deities until 5 pm.
Puri Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain informed reporters on Saturday that public darshan of the sibling deities at Gundicha Temple will halt from 5 pm on July 14 onwards, ensuring all necessary arrangements are completed for Bahuda Yatra.
Anticipating a large turnout during Sandhya Darshan, the district administration has assured measures for efficient crowd management and smooth darshan experiences. The majestic chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra have already completed their southward turn (Dakhina Moda) and are positioned at Nakachana Dwara, the exit gate of Shree Gundicha Temple at Saradha Bali in the pilgrim town, in preparation for the upcoming Yatra on July 15.
