Probe into Odisha CM’s health on the cards if BJP wins: PM Modi

Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), May 29: Expressing apprehension regarding Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s declining health, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that if the BJP assumes power in Odisha, an investigation will be initiated to uncover any potential conspiracies surrounding his illness.

Addressing a BJP rally at Chhau ground in Baripada, Mayurbhanj, Modi questioned whether a clandestine agenda exists behind Patnaik’s health woes, insinuating that a shadowy lobby might be exerting control over the state under his name.

Highlighting public concerns about the CM’s well-being, Modi emphasized the need for transparency regarding the drastic deterioration in Patnaik’s health over the past year. Allegations suggesting Patnaik’s incapacity to function independently further fueled suspicions of foul play, prompting calls for a thorough probe into the matter.

Promising to form a dedicated committee to scrutinize the sudden downturn in the CM’s health if the BJP secures victory in Odisha, Modi stressed the imperative of unraveling the mystery surrounding the situation. In a scathing critique of the incumbent Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government, the Prime Minister accused it of exploiting and deceiving the populace during its 25-year tenure.

Dismissing any sympathy for those deemed to have betrayed the public trust, Modi warned against a potential BJD resurgence, cautioning against further exploitation of tribal lands akin to the alleged plunder of state mineral resources. Firmly asserting that those responsible for the alleged misappropriation in Odisha will face consequences, Modi underscored the imperative of accountability and justice.
