Naveen Patnaik thanks people of Odisha for their wishes, health improving

Bhubaneswar, Aug 18 (UNI) Former Odisha Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik, who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, has expressed gratitude to the people of the state for their good wishes.

In a video message, Patnaik said, “The doctors and staff at SUM Ultimate Medicare are taking wonderful care of me.”
According to a medical bulletin issued today, Patnaik’s condition is stable, and he has been shifted from the observation room to a cabin on Monday afternoon. His health is improving steadily.
Patnaik is feeling fresh and his treatment is continuing, the medical bulletin said.

The Leader of Opposition was admitted to the hospital on Sunday evening around 5:15 PM after suffering from dehydration.

It may be recalled that the former Chief Minister underwent spinal surgery for cervical arthritis at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on June 22.

He returned to Bhubaneswar on July 12 and has since largely remained at his residence, Naveen Niwas, refraining from meeting party leaders.
A BJD statement confirmed that Patnaik is showing significant improvement and is likely to be discharged soon.
