Ama Bus Diwali Schedule: CRUT Limits Services to 3 PM Across Odisha Cities
In light of Diwali celebrations, the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has announced a temporary adjustment to its Ama Bus operations across Odisha’s major cities.
On Monday, October 20, 2025, buses will run only until 3 PM, allowing commuters limited access during the festive hours.
The CRUT helpline will also be available until 3 PM, ensuring support for passengers during the shortened schedule. Full services, including helpline assistance, will resume on Tuesday, October 21.
This move is aimed at facilitating smoother traffic flow and enabling transport staff to observe the festival with their families.
The announcement was made via CRUT’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, which also extended Diwali wishes to the public.
Cities impacted include Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Puri, where the Ama Bus services are widely used for daily commuting. The decision underscores CRUT’s commitment to balancing public service with cultural observance.
