The appointments, formalised through an order signed by party president Naveen Patnaik, signal the party’s intent to deepen grassroots engagement and streamline internal operations ahead of upcoming electoral challenges.

Veteran leader Chiranjib Biswal has been elevated to the role of Vice President, while Pushpendra Singh Deo and Ganeswar Behera have been entrusted with Senior General Secretary responsibilities.

The General Secretary portfolio now includes Labornel Nial, Smt. Alka Mohanty, Smt. Rani Ray, Sudhir Kumar, and Manoj Mishra.

Additionally, Rajesh Nigam, Santosh Pattnayak, and Shri Raju Geebela have been appointed as Secretaries.

This reshuffle follows the recent formation of strategic committees for the Nuapada bye-election, underscoring BJD’s proactive approach to organisational readiness and electoral strategy.
