Shilpa Shetty Questioned by Mumbai Police in Rs 60 Crore Fraud Case

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty was interrogated for nearly five hours by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police in connection with a Rs 60 crore fraud case.

The investigation stems from a complaint filed by a businessman alleging financial deception involving Shetty, her husband Raj Kundra, and others.

According to sources, Shetty was questioned for approximately four and a half hours.

While her husband Raj Kundra and four others have already had their statements recorded, officials have yet to disclose any direct involvement of Shetty or Kundra in the alleged fraud.

Notably, a Lookout Circular had been issued against both Shetty and Kundra prior to September, signalling the seriousness of the case. The complaint, filed in August, accuses the couple and another individual of defrauding the businessman of over Rs 60 crore.

The investigation remains ongoing, and further details are awaited from the authorities.
