Bhubaneswar Glows with Devotion as Maa Gajalaxmi Puja Begins Across the City

Bhubaneswar has transformed into a vibrant spiritual hub as devotees welcome Maa Gajalaxmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity.

Following the immersion of Durga idols, neighbourhoods across the city have shifted their focus to Gajalaxmi Puja, ushering in a fresh wave of festive fervour.

From Unit 4’s Gajalaxmi Sanskritik Sangha to CRP Square’s Hamtum Puja Committee, and from Bapuji Nagar to Jagannath Nagar, mandaps have come alive with rituals, chants, and cultural programs.

The puja ceremonies began with Kalash Sthapana and Adhibasa, followed by the consecration of clay idols of Maa Gajalaxmi.

Local committees have also arranged Meena Bazaars, swings, musical nights, and cultural performances to engage the community.

The air is thick with devotion as chants of “Jaya Maa Gajalaxmi” echo through the streets, reaffirming Bhubaneswar’s deep-rooted spiritual traditions.

As the city celebrates the goddess of abundance, the collective spirit of faith and festivity continues to unite people across generations.
