CM Mohan Majhi’s Flight Diverted to Kolkata Amid Bhubaneswar Weather Turmoil

Bhubaneswar, Sept 5 — Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi’s return from a four-day official visit to New Delhi was unexpectedly rerouted when his flight was diverted to Kolkata due to inclement weather in Bhubaneswar.

The diversion, confirmed by Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Patra, forced a revision of the CM’s schedule and raised concerns about the city’s weather preparedness and airport infrastructure.

Sources close to the administration assured that the Chief Minister will resume his engagements in Bhubaneswar once conditions stabilise.

The incident has reignited discussions around the need for robust contingency planning and infrastructure upgrades at Biju Patnaik International Airport, especially during monsoon season.
