
Two Odisha Educators Honored with National Teachers’ Award 2025
(OT Webdesk)In a proud moment for Odisha’s education sector, two distinguished teachers—Basanta Kumar Rana and Tarun Kumar Dash—have been selected for the prestigious National Teachers’ Award 2025, conferred by the Ministry of Education.
Basanta Kumar Rana, serving at Government Upper Primary School in Kondel, Malkangiri, is celebrated for his innovative teaching methods that have transformed classroom engagement.
Tarun Kumar Dash, from PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya in Koraput, has been recognised for his commitment to holistic student development.
The awards will be presented on September 5, 2025, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, coinciding with Teachers’ Day, which commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
Each honoree will receive a certificate of merit, Rs 50,000 in cash, and a silver medal.
This recognition not only celebrates individual excellence but also underscores the growing impact of Odisha’s educators on national academic standards.
