War 2 Smashes Box Office Records with Rs 165 Crore Worldwide in Just Two Days

The film, part of YRF’s Spy Universe, witnessed a dramatic surge on Day 2, fueled by Independence Day viewership and strong Hindi belt collections.

Starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR—who makes his Bollywood debut—the action-packed sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War has already outperformed the lifetime earnings of Kesari Chapter 2 and Jaat.

With Rs 108 crore net from India and Rs 35 crore from overseas markets, War 2 has secured a spot among the top 10 highest-grossing Hindi films of 2025.

The ensemble cast also features Kiara Advani and Ashutosh Rana, with Bobby Deol introduced in a post-credits teaser for the next instalment, Alpha, set to release in December 2025 alongside Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.

Industry analysts predict the film could cross Rs 400 crore globally within its first week, driven by strong word-of-mouth and pan-India appeal.
