Bigg Boss 19 Set to Premiere August 24 with Extended Run and Power-Packed Format

Mumbai (OT Webdesk): The much-anticipated Bigg Boss 19 is all set to hit screens on August 24, 2025, promising a longer season and a fresh twist in its format.

Hosted by Salman Khan—who may be temporarily replaced due to film commitments—the reality show will run for an extended 20–22 weeks, compared to its usual 15-week duration.

This season introduces the theme “Gharwalon ki Sarkaar,” hinting at a dramatic shift in the house’s power dynamics.

JioHotstar takes over production duties and will stream one-hour episodes ahead of Colours TV’s delayed telecast. The platform will also continue its 24×7 live feed for die-hard fans.

Tentative contestants include popular names like Dheeraj Dhoopar, Apoorva Mukhija, Mr Faisu, Dhanashree Verma, Munmun Dutta, Rati Pandey, Hunar Hali, Sreerama Chandra, Meera Deosthale, and Bhavika Sharma.

Following a fallout between Banijay Asia and Colors TV, the show will now have a unified season—scrapping separate TV and OTT versions. Meanwhile, both parties are reportedly working to revive their flagship show, Khatron Ke Khiladi
