Odisha Launches 5-Day Urban Grievance Redressal Drive to Improve Civic Services

(OT Webdesk)In a push for citizen-first urban governance, the Housing & Urban Development Department of Odisha has announced a state-wide Special Grievance Redressal Drive from July 22 to July 25, 2025.

The initiative aims to resolve pending public complaints across all Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) through a dedicated, fast-tracked effort.

Complaints submitted via Jana Sunani, CPGRAMS, local helpdesks, and other channels will be addressed during the drive.

Municipal Commissioners and Executive Officers have been directed to deploy responsive teams and enhance complaint-handling infrastructure.

Key urban concerns under the spotlight include sanitation, water supply, drainage, street lighting, waste management, and building approvals.

An Action Taken Report (ATR), detailing the number of grievances resolved, system enhancements made, and feedback received, must be submitted by July 29.

“This drive reinforces our commitment to last-mile service delivery and accountability,” a senior department official stated.

Citizens are encouraged to contact their respective ULBs or follow official channels for updates.
