Barbil, June 10, (OT Webdesk) – A domestic dispute in Gada Hutting, Ward No. 10, Barbil, turned deadly on the night of June 8, 2025, when a heated argument between Takulu Munda and his wife, Janaki Munda, escalated into a brutal act of violence.
According to Barbil Police, Takulu, in a fit of rage, allegedly assaulted Janaki with his fists, kicks, and a wooden stick, causing severe injuries. Tragically, Janaki succumbed to her injuries the following day inside their home.
Neighbours, alarmed by the incident, alerted the authorities, prompting a swift response from the Barbil Police, led by the Inspector-in-Charge (IIC). The police took Takulu into custody and sent Janaki’s body for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. A scientific team was dispatched to the crime scene, where they recovered critical evidence, including the weapon of offense—a soggy wooden stick.
